RoboCupJunior2025 Rescue
Dear RoboCuppers,
RoboCupJunior 2025 in Salvador was once again an unforgettable event. This year, 22 teams took on the Rescue Line challenge, 25 competed in Rescue Maze, and 10 in Rescue Simulation. All Rescue leagues continued with the updated scoring system, which evaluated not only robot performance but also the engineering process and documentation through posters and technical description papers. We truly appreciate this approach, as it shows that while building great robots is important, being able to communicate and share knowledge with others is equally valuable.
One of the big topics this year was the rise of AI in team approaches. While some solutions sparked exciting innovation, they also brought a fair share of hiccups and discussions about how AI should fit into RoboCupJunior. These conversations underlined the competition’s role not just as a contest, but as a living lab where the community collectively shapes the future of robotics education.
Spectators and fellow RoboCuppers were impressed by the ingenuity and determination of the teams. Throughout the event, participants demonstrated creativity, clever problem-solving, and teamwork in overcoming the many challenges. RoboCupJunior 2025 in Salvador was not only a celebration of technical skill, but also of collaboration, learning, and reflection on the evolving role of technology in education.
